Hello, my lovelies, it’s been a while, hasn’t it?
As many of you may already know, I am back in the U.K!!
After three years, I said farewell to the (sometimes) tranquil seaside town of Nagasaki.
Since we last spoke, I’ve left my job, moved house, climbed Mt.Fuji, visited Canada and arrived back in the U.K. This summer has been one of the most breathtaking, adventurous and stressful summers to date.
As the plane left the tarmac in Tokyo, I felt a little piece of my heart stay behind, waiting for my return. It’s still hard to wrap my head around the fact that I have no return ticket. That I won’t be returning to my cozy apartment in the heart of Nagasaki.
The hardest part of summer, however, was not leaving Japan. But leaving Chad. As our lives begin a fresh, so does our status as long-distance partners. Saying goodbye to him at the airport was heartbreaking. I was thankful to have my brother with me to keep me occupied and make the long flight from Canada a little less painful.
So, what’s in store for Naomi?
Well, recently I moved to Bath to study an MA course in Creative Writing. I am beyond excited! For the past three years, I have stolen every minute I can to work on my blog and novel. I would even stealthily write notes in the staff room if given the chance. Which is why I am so elated to be able to dedicate my time fully to writing. No hiding this time.
Not only is Bath the most beautiful city in the world, but I’m lucky enough to be living with the most wonderful girls in all the city. I was really nervous at the start, but soon found out I had no need to be.
I’m also looking forward to getting back into blogging. I must admit that the past few months off have done me well. Although, I do feel a little rusty. Starting small, I have already begun catching up over on Instagram, so please do check me out. With Instagram algorithm and new the shadowing ban, (for more information on this, check out Gwennans post on the topic), I’m finding it near impossible to reach the engagement I used to with just a single post! So please do pop over for a little peak if you can.
Oh, and I turned 26 at the start of September! So if that’s not a kick in the ass to get back into the swing of things, then I don’t know what is.
Well, that’s it from me for now!
Let me know how your summer went? Go anywhere fun? Made any wonderful changes? I would love to know!
