London, a place just as you beautiful as you imagine and twice as busy. Growing up in Wales, crossing the border into England and going to London was a luxury. It was something we would loose out minds over. All that shopping? All that food? All that cool stuff to see!
A mixture of old and new, popular and forgotten, London has something for everyone. I was lucky to spend my early-early twenties living only an hours train ride away from London, and enjoyed a day away when I could. Living In Japan, however, makes it a little more difficult to get there.
As many of you know, me and my partner, Chad spent our Christmas with my family in Wales. Seeing as we would need to come to London to fly back, along with Chads Canadian self never having been to London, we decided to spend a few days to explore the often glorious, sometimes miserable city.
Unfortunately, however, we didn’t plan for me to get sick and end up having to make a trip to A&E. Thankfully we were only there for a few hours in the morning, but it did ruin our plans a little, something I still feel sorry about. Plans were changed and places were cut and our London extravaganza turned into a London stroll. Despite this, and in true Chad fashion, he kept a smiling face and proclaimed he was just happy to be in London with me.
And so, with him looking as dapper as always and me looking like the offspring of a balloon animal and a human, we wandered around London, getting lost in streets and seeking out pre-researched shops. I spent a lot of time hiding behind my camera, snapping sights along the way. And so, tale of the sad balloon faced girl aside, I hope you all enjoy this snapshot insight into London
