Mid-September, Chad and I made the long trip back to Wales for a very much needed mini holiday. As excited as I was, however, I was dreading the concept of a 12 hour layover in South Korea. Just imagining myself listlessly walking around and airport, looking at all the things I wish I could buy and all the food I was very close to shoving in my mouth left me anxious. Indeed, I was more than a little unenthused about the idea. But the fates are kind! Once we got to the airport, it appeared they offered day trips around the Incheon and Seoul area and we were just in time for one! The tour was free and would be for five hours; perfect!! We would be able to walk around the city of Seoul and explore as much as we could in the time we were given. Sadly, we didn’t have time to go to Seoul tower, which was also on the itinerary, on account of it being the moon festival and the traffic was too heavy, but we had a great time exploring non the less. Despite the serious amount of people and my ever rising anxiety, I can not lament the fact that it was the festival due to the street food. OMG KOREAN STREET FOOD. If I could eat it all day every day, I seriously would.
This free trip was a great way to break up our long wait and it was so eclectic and cool, I decided to snap some shots to show you all. I had hoped it would be a more varying set of photos, but it seems all I do is eat, sorry guys! I should really just go ahead and name this post ‘All the food I managed to consume in Korea within 12 hours’ but maybe that would be a little less appealing. Anyway, Enjoy!
