What is your favourite pastime?
My favourite pastimes would have to be blogging or any other form of writing for that matter, hunting for new cafes, binge watching tv shows. I also absolutely love just driving around with Chad, no real destination. It’s always calming.
Do you prefer being indoors or outdoors? Why?
Usually indoors, but having big windows so i can gaze at the world outside is very important to me. I would say this is because, on some level, I probably have social anxiety. Of course there are days when I love feeling the sun or the rain on my skin but a lot of the time I just love to sit and watch the world go by.
What is the first thing you do in the morning?
Does grumble and curse the world count? Not being an early morning person I like to laze about and check my social media for as long as I can before I finally detangle myself from my quilt and mass of pillows and finally crawl out of bed.
What is your aim when writing a blog post?
When writing a blog post, my biggest aim is to convey my thoughts, feelings, or a particular atmosphere. This is even more so for travel posts. I want my readers to come on the journey with me, to feel what I went and to experience all the wonderful things I’m lucky enough to have the change to. I want them to enjoy the ride just as much as I did.
What is the most amazing thing you have ever achieved?
This is a tough one. As a teenager I sang many classical solo’s in front of hundreds of peoples at various venues and weddings, and these memories I will cherish for as long as I live. Getting my job with the JET program is also a big source of pride for me, considering its fairly difficult to get on, especially in the UK.
Who inspires you in your life?
Right now? Everyone. I look around at the all dedicated and strong people in my life and I feel so lucky to know them all. Even other bloggers inspire me with their drive and passion. You guys make me want to better myself, and work hard at my blog just like you have. If I had to choose one person, however, it would have to be my friend Glesni. Hardworking and driven, nothing stands in her way when she wants something. So thank you all for inspiring me.
What three words best describe you?
Imaginative, passionate and Welsh
Describe your perfect weekend?
My perfect weekend would be a jam-packed Saturday filled with road trips and cafe hunting, sandwiched between a relaxing friday evening and Sunday.
What is your favourite thing about blogging?
My favourite thing about blogging is seeing my thoughts and feelings manifest on the virtual paper that is blog. Be it in the form of photographs, fonts, or my actual words, seeing a completed post fills me with a sense of happiness not easily replicated. More often than not my mind is filled to the brim with thoughts and ideas and getting them out of my head and digitally filing them away in such an artistic way is almost therapeutic.
What is your favourite possession?
I have many favourite possessions, simply because they come from different people. Outside of the many photographs and handwritten letters, however, I would have to say my most treasured possessions would be my childhood toy and the ring my grandmother gave me at 16 that I’ve worn everyday since.
Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
In five years time, I would like to be some sort of writer with a masters degree under my belt. I hope to be sipping tea as I look out of the large windows of the apartment/house I’m living in with my boyfriend. I hope to have scratched at least four more countries from my travels wishlist. Being married by the age of 29 wouldn’t hurt either.
