  • Author: Kouider Walid Bentahar

Description

Baked Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken is a mouthwatering dish that combines tender, juicy chicken breasts with a sweet and savory glaze. The garlic’s robust flavor pairs beautifully with the caramelized brown sugar, creating a harmonious balance of flavors that’s simple yet sophisticated.

Ingredients

Scale

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts…
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons olive oil

Instructions

Preheat oven to 500°F and lightly grease a casserole dish.
In small sauté pan, sauté garlic with the oil until tender.
Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar.
Place chicken breasts in a prepared baking dish and cover with the garlic and brown sugar mixture.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Bake uncovered for 15-30 minutes

Notes

  • Customization: Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar, or replace it with honey or a sugar-free alternative for a unique twist.
  • Garlic: Freshly minced garlic delivers the best flavor. Avoid substituting with garlic powder unless necessary.
  • Chicken Thickness: Ensure the chicken breasts are of even thickness to cook uniformly. Pounding them slightly with a meat mallet can help.
  • Baking Time: The thickness of the chicken may affect cooking time. Always check the internal temperature to avoid overcooking.
  • Serving Suggestions: Garnish with fresh parsley or serve with roasted vegetables for a complete, visually appealing meal.
  • Leftovers: Store in an airtight container and reheat in the oven or air fryer to retain moisture and texture.
