Cheesy Pizza Dough Bites The Best Pepperoni Appetizer for Fast Meals

  • Author: Naomi

Description

These cheesy pepperoni pizza dough bites are the perfect fast and flavorful appetizer for parties, game nights, or busy weeknight dinners. Soft biscuit dough is filled with melted mozzarella and turkey pepperoni, brushed with garlic-herb butter, and baked until golden. They’re easy to make, endlessly customizable, and irresistibly snackable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count)
  • 40 slices turkey pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Optional: marinara or pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Flatten each biscuit into a circle using your hands or a rolling pin.

Place 4–5 slices of turkey pepperoni and a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella in the center of each biscuit.

Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a ball.

Place the sealed side down on the prepared baking sheet.

In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush over the tops of the dough balls.

Sprinkle parmesan cheese over each one.

Bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños to the filling.

  • Use parchment paper for easier cleanup and even browning.

  • For vegetarian bites, swap out the pepperoni with sautéed mushrooms or spinach.

  • These freeze beautifully — perfect for prepping ahead.

  • Let baked bites cool for 5 minutes before serving for the best texture and to prevent melted cheese from spilling.
