Made with canned biscuits, these bite-sized goodies are coated in a cinnamon-sugar mixture and baked to golden perfection. The buttery, crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior create a delightful contrast of textures, while a sweet vanilla glaze adds the perfect finishing touch. Best of all, they’re simple enough to make in less than 30 minutes and can be customized with a variety of flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 small roll of canned biscuits
- ¼ cup sugar (mix of white and brown sugar)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1–2 tablespoons butter, melted
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 teaspoons milk
- ⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place 1-2 tablespoons of butter in a baking pan and melt in the preheating oven. - Prepare the Biscuit Pieces:
Open the can of biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. - Coat with Cinnamon-Sugar:
In a resealable plastic bag, mix together ¼ cup of white and brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Add the quartered biscuits to the bag, seal it, and shake until the biscuit pieces are evenly coated. - Arrange in the Pan:
Place the coated biscuit pieces in a single layer in the pan with the melted butter. - Bake:
Bake for 15 minutes or until the biscuit bites turn golden brown and crispy on the edges. - Prepare the Glaze:
While the bites are baking, whisk together ¼ cup powdered sugar, 1-2 teaspoons milk, and ⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk for a thinner glaze or more powdered sugar for a thicker one. - Drizzle the Icing:
Once the biscuit bites are done, cool for 2 minutes, then drizzle the glaze over them. Serve warm for the best texture, or at room temperature.
Notes
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes to refresh the texture.
- Customization: Feel free to add extra spices like nutmeg or cardamom for a flavor twist, or mix in chocolate chips or chopped nuts for added texture.
- Freezing: To freeze, bake and glaze the bites, let them cool completely, and freeze them in a single layer before transferring them to a freezer-safe container. Reheat in the oven before serving.
