Description

Cinnamon-sugar pizza made with crescent rolls is a quick and easy dessert that combines the flaky, buttery goodness of crescent rolls with a sweet and crunchy cinnamon-sugar topping.

Ingredients

Sugar Crumb Crispies:
1/4 cup cold butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Dash of salt
1/2 cup flour
1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp softened butter
1-1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 to 1-1/2 tbsp milk

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a medium bowl, cut the cold butter into the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and flour until the mixture forms crumbs.
On an ungreased cookie sheet, separate the crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over the dough triangles.
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-12 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, blend together the powdered sugar, softened butter, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth. If the glaze is too runny, add more powdered sugar until it reaches your desired consistency.
Once the rolls are baked and cooled, cut them into smaller triangles if desired.
Drizzle the glaze over the Sugar Crumb Crispies and serve.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
  • Customization:
    • Fruits: Add diced apples or berries to the dough before baking for extra flavor and texture.
    • Nuts: Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the topping before baking for added crunch.
    • Glaze Variations: Try a cream cheese glaze or a chocolate glaze for a different twist.
  • Tips:
    • Use cold butter when preparing the crumb topping to achieve the desired texture.
    • Do not overload the dough with too much topping to avoid a soggy crust.
    • Rotate the baking sheet halfway through baking for even cooking.
