Ingredients
-
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (85/15 blend)
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp smoked paprika
-
Salt & pepper, to taste
-
4 large flour tortillas (8–10″)
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
¼ cup diced dill pickles
-
2 tbsp ketchup
-
1 tbsp yellow mustard
-
1 tbsp melted butter
-
Cooking spray
Instructions
1️⃣ Season and cook the beef:
In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, crumble in the ground beef. Sprinkle with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until no pink remains and excess moisture evaporates, about 5–6 minutes. Drain any fat.
2️⃣ Mix burger fillings:
Off heat, stir into the beef the shredded cheddar, diced pickles, ketchup, and mustard until well combined.
3️⃣ Assemble the wraps:
Lay a tortilla flat. Spoon ¼ of the cheeseburger mixture down the center, leaving about 1″ of space on each side. Fold in the sides, then roll tightly from the bottom to enclose the filling. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
4️⃣ Prepare for air frying:
Brush each wrap lightly with melted butter and spray all sides with cooking spray. This helps achieve a golden-crispy crust.
5️⃣ Air fry:
Preheat your air fryer to 400 °F (200 °C). Place wraps seam-side down in the basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Air-fry 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway, until tortillas are crisp and golden and cheese is melted.
6️⃣ Serve:
Remove wraps and let rest 1 minute. Slice in half on the diagonal and serve with extra ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
-
Make-Ahead: Cook and season the beef up to 2 days ahead. Reheat briefly before assembling and air frying.
-
Cheese Variations: Swap cheddar for pepper jack or a blend of American and mozzarella for extra meltiness.
-
Low-Carb Option: Use low-carb tortillas or large romaine leaves in place of flour tortillas.
-
Add-Ins: Stir in a handful of finely chopped grilled onions or diced tomatoes for extra flavor.
-
Oven Method: If you don’t have an air fryer, bake wraps at 425 °F (220 °C) on a foil-lined sheet for 10–12 minutes, flipping once.
