  • 2 cups self-rising flour

  • 1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups heavy cream (start with 1 ¼ cups and add more as needed)

Optional for serving:

  • Butter, honey, or jam


Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2️⃣ Make the dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine self-rising flour and heavy cream. Stir gently until just combined and the dough comes together. Avoid overmixing.

3️⃣ Shape the biscuits:
Lightly flour a clean surface. Turn out the dough and gently pat or roll it to about ¾-inch thickness.
Using a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass, cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

4️⃣ Bake:
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden and the biscuits are cooked through.

5️⃣ Serve:
Serve warm with butter, honey, jam, or your favorite biscuit toppings.

Notes

  • If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour + 3 teaspoons baking powder + ½ teaspoon salt.

  • The dough can also be gently scooped into drop biscuits instead of rolling and cutting.

  • For a golden top, brush with melted butter before baking.
