Notes
- Bean Varieties: Feel free to substitute Ranch Style beans with your preferred type, such as black beans or pinto beans, for a different flavor profile.
- Cheese Options: Experiment with various cheeses for the topping. A mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack can add a lovely depth of flavor.
- Taco Seasoning: For those sensitive to spice, consider using a mild taco seasoning or reducing the quantity. Alternatively, making your own taco seasoning allows for complete control over the spice level and ingredients.
- Serving Suggestions: Enhance your Mexican Casserole experience by serving with a side of guacamole, a crisp green salad, or Mexican rice. These additions complement the flavors and make for a more rounded meal.
- Make Ahead: This casserole can be assembled up to a day in advance. Simply refrigerate until ready to bake, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time if starting from cold.
