Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples (about 2 medium apples)

Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round or square cake pan.
2️⃣ In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
3️⃣ In a large bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until well combined. Add the vegetable oil and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
4️⃣ Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
5️⃣ Fold in the chopped apples and nuts (if using) gently.
6️⃣ Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
7️⃣ Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8️⃣ Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
