Ingredients

Scale

For the base:

  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the dump cake layer:

  • 1 box vanilla or yellow cake mix

  • 1 (21 oz) can strawberry pie filling

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Optional garnish:

  • Whipped cream

  • Fresh strawberries

  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2️⃣ Make the cheesecake layer:
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

3️⃣ Assemble the layers:
Pour the cheesecake mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Spoon the strawberry pie filling evenly over the cheesecake layer.

4️⃣ Add the cake mix:
Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top of the strawberry layer.

5️⃣ Add the butter:
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, making sure to cover as much of the surface as possible.

6️⃣ Bake:
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.

7️⃣ Garnish and serve:
Top with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or chilled.
