Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the cinnamon sugar coating:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the Fireball Whisky.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  4. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat.
  5. Place on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until set but not too hard. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a minute before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the Fireball Whisky with an equal amount of water mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon extract.
  • These cookies store well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze the baked cookies for up to 3 months.
  • Feel free to experiment with additional mix-ins such as chocolate chips or nuts for a personalized touch.
  • Remember, the key to the perfect Fireball Cookie is not to overbake them. They should be removed from the oven while still soft in the center for that perfectly chewy texture.
  • Enjoy these cookies with a warm beverage or as a standalone treat. They’re perfect for holiday gatherings, special occasions, or as a comforting snack on a chilly day.
