Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven:
Preheat your oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2️⃣ Cook the beef:
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
3️⃣ Add aromatics:
Add diced onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook 3–4 minutes, until softened. Stir in Worcestershire sauce if using. Season with salt and pepper.
4️⃣ Combine sauce ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
5️⃣ Assemble the casserole:
In the prepared dish, layer green beans and beef mixture. Pour the creamy sauce evenly over the top, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
6️⃣ Bake:
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
7️⃣ Add crispy onions:
Remove from oven, sprinkle the fried onions over the top, and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to warm the topping.
8️⃣ Serve:
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
