Hot Fudge Brownie Bread

  • Author: Christine

Description

Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is a rich and indulgent dessert that combines the dense, fudgy goodness of brownies with the familiar shape and convenience of a loaf of bread. This hybrid treat is perfect for chocolate lovers, offering an easy-to-slice, moist, and gooey loaf packed with decadent flavors. Serve it warm with a drizzle of hot fudge or a scoop of ice cream for an extra special dessert. It’s easy to make and versatile enough for casual gatherings or holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of brownie mix (your choice of dark chocolate, fudge, or regular)
  • 1 11 oz jar of hot fudge sauce
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil (or substitute with alternatives such as canola oil or melted butter)
  • A bread loaf pan (9×5 inch)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). A properly preheated oven ensures the bread bakes evenly, giving it the ideal texture.
  • Prepare the Batter:
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, hot fudge sauce, eggs, and vegetable oil. Stir until the ingredients are fully mixed and the batter is smooth. Avoid overmixing, as it can lead to a dense loaf.
  • Pour into Pan:
Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with vegetable oil or non-stick cooking spray. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, filling it about 3/4 full to allow room for the bread to rise.
  • Bake:
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, the bread is done. If the toothpick comes out with wet batter, continue baking and check again every 5 minutes.
  • Cool:
Remove the pan from the oven and allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes. Afterward, transfer the loaf to a wire rack to cool completely. Cooling on a wire rack helps prevent the bottom of the bread from becoming soggy.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Slice and serve warm with a drizzle of extra hot fudge sauce.
  • Pair with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a rich, indulgent dessert.

Notes

  • Substitutions: You can substitute vegetable oil with canola oil, coconut oil, or melted butter for different flavor profiles. For a healthier option, use unsweetened applesauce in place of some or all of the oil.
  • Add-ins: For extra texture, mix in chocolate chips, chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans), or swirl in peanut butter or caramel before baking for additional flavor.
  • Storage: Hot Fudge Brownie Bread can be wrapped tightly and stored at room temperature for 3-4 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months. To reheat, microwave individual slices for 10-15 seconds.
  • Baking Adjustments: If you use a smaller loaf pan, muffin tin, or a bundt pan, adjust the baking time accordingly. Muffins will take around 20-25 minutes, and a bundt pan may take longer than the specified 45 minutes.
