Ingredients
-
1 cup (240 g) creamy peanut butter
-
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar (or brown sugar for deeper flavor)
-
1 large egg, room temperature
-
1 cup (175 g) chocolate chips
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat & Prep:
-
Preheat your oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
2️⃣ Mix the Base:
-
In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, and the egg.
-
Stir vigorously with a spatula (or wooden spoon) until mixture is smooth and uniform.
3️⃣ Add Chocolate Chips:
-
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
4️⃣ Portion the Dough:
-
Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, drop rounded mounds (about 1 Tbsp each) onto the prepared sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
-
(Optional) Press a few extra chips on top of each mound for a bakery-style look.
5️⃣ Bake:
-
Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain slightly soft.
-
Remove from oven and let cookies rest on the sheet for 5 minutes (they’ll firm up as they cool).
6️⃣ Cool & Enjoy:
-
Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely, or serve warm for extra gooeyness!
