Ingredients
For the Sloppy Joe mixture:

1 lb ground beef

½ small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup ketchup

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp mustard

½ tsp chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste
For the toast:

8 slices frozen Texas toast (garlic flavor)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or mozzarella
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Texas toast:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the Texas toast according to the package instructions until golden brown and crispy.
2️⃣ Prepare the sloppy joe mixture:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease. Add onions and garlic; sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.
3️⃣ Add sauces and spices:
Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thick and saucy.
4️⃣ Assemble the toast:
Spoon the sloppy joe mixture over each slice of Texas toast. Top with shredded cheese.
5️⃣ Broil to melt cheese:
Place under the broiler for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6️⃣ Serve:
Serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped parsley or green onions. Best enjoyed with a fork and lots of napkins!
