1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 (8 oz) tube of crescent roll dough
2/3 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture on each triangle and sprinkle with blueberries.
Roll up the dough, starting from the wider end, and place each roll on the baking sheet.
Bake for 10-13 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the burst of creamy and tangy flavors wrapped in a flaky crust.
Notes
- Substitutions: For a healthier twist, low-fat cream cheese can be used without compromising the creamy texture. Frozen blueberries are a great alternative when fresh ones aren’t available, just be sure to use them straight from the freezer to prevent the dough from becoming soggy.
- Serving Suggestions: Enhance your serving presentation by dusting the rolls with powdered sugar, drizzling with a simple glaze, or serving alongside fresh berries and whipped cream. For an extra touch of freshness, garnish with mint leaves.
- Storage: Store leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months; simply reheat in the oven to enjoy a warm, crispy texture.
- Customization: Feel free to add your own twist to the filling by incorporating other fruits like raspberries or chopped strawberries. Experimenting with different fillings and fruits can lead to new and exciting flavor combinations.
