Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bombs

  • Author: Kouider Walid Bentahar

Description

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Bombs are the perfect combination of gooey, cheesy goodness and savory pepperoni, all wrapped in a buttery, golden crust. These bite-sized snacks are easy to make, fun to eat, and ideal for parties, game nights, or a quick family treat.

Ingredients

Scale

2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices (ensure they are halal if needed)
Marinara or pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

Prepare Ingredients:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Dough:
Separate each biscuit and flatten each piece slightly using your hands or a rolling pin to form a small circle.
Assemble the Pizza Bombs:
Place a bit of shredded mozzarella cheese and a few mini pepperoni slices in the center of each dough circle.
Carefully fold the dough edges up and around the filling to form a ball. Pinch the edges to seal tightly.
Add Seasoning:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush each dough ball with the seasoned butter mixture.
Bake:
Place the pizza bombs on the baking sheet with the sealed side down. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve:
Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.
Enjoy your cheesy, pepperoni-packed pizza bombs!

Notes

  • Customizable Options: Substitute pepperoni with cooked chicken, vegetables, or plant-based alternatives for a personalized twist. You can also experiment with different cheeses for a unique flavor.
  • Dough Tips: Ensure the dough is flattened evenly to avoid uneven cooking. If using homemade dough, let it rest to become pliable for easier shaping.
  • Preventing Leaks: Be cautious not to overfill and always pinch the seams tightly. Rolling the seams inward after sealing can provide extra security.
  • Dipping Sauce: While marinara is a classic choice, feel free to serve these bombs with garlic butter, ranch, or spicy sriracha mayo for variety.
  • Make Ahead: Prepare and freeze the unbaked pizza bombs for up to 2 months. Bake directly from frozen for a convenient snack.
