Description
Crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside—this air fryer cod recipe is a perfect quick dinner option. With just a handful of pantry spices and a short cook time, you’ll have a healthy and delicious meal on the table in under 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets (about 5 oz each), fresh or thawed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the cod: Pat the cod fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels to help them crisp in the air fryer.
2️⃣ Oil and season: Brush both sides of each fillet with olive oil.
3️⃣ Spice it up: In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly on both sides of the cod.
4️⃣ Preheat the air fryer: Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 3 minutes.
5️⃣ Cook the cod: Arrange the fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding—cook in batches if needed.
6️⃣ Air fry: Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping the fillets halfway through. The cod is ready when it flakes easily with a fork and has a lightly golden crust.
7️⃣ Serve: Plate the cod with lemon wedges and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
