Ingredients
For the fried s’mores:
-
12 large marshmallows
-
12 small squares of milk chocolate (or chocolate chips)
-
1 package refrigerated biscuit dough or wonton wrappers
-
1 large egg (for egg wash)
-
1 tbsp water
-
Vegetable oil (for frying)
For garnish:
-
Powdered sugar
-
Crushed graham crackers
-
Chocolate sauce (optional for drizzling)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the filling:
Flatten each piece of biscuit dough into a small circle (or use wonton wrappers). Place one marshmallow and one piece of chocolate in the center of each.
2️⃣ Seal the s’mores:
Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water to make an egg wash. Brush the edges of the dough with egg wash, then carefully fold and pinch the dough closed, fully sealing the filling inside.
3️⃣ Heat the oil:
In a deep pot or skillet, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
4️⃣ Fry the s’mores:
Carefully place the wrapped s’mores into the hot oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Work in small batches to avoid overcrowding.
5️⃣ Drain:
Remove fried s’mores with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
6️⃣ Garnish and serve:
Dust with powdered sugar and crushed graham crackers. Drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired. Serve warm while gooey and delicious!
