  • Author: Naomi
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders

Description

Monte Cristo sliders offer a delightful twist on the traditional Monte Cristo sandwich, combining the sweet flavors of Hawaiian rolls with the savory tastes of ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese. Topped with a dusting of powdered sugar and a tangy touch of Dijon mustard, these sliders are a perfect balance of flavors, suitable for any gathering or event.

Ingredients

12 Hawaiian rolls
1/2 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
6 slices Swiss cheese
1/4 cup raspberry jam
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise, keeping them connected.
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the rolls, then layer with ham and Swiss cheese.
In a small bowl, mix together the raspberry jam and Dijon mustard. Spread this mixture over the top half of the rolls.
Place the top half of the rolls over the ham and cheese.
Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
Let cool slightly, then sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
