Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8-inch baking dish, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
2️⃣ Mix dry ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, and salt until well combined.
3️⃣ Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the vegetable oil and vanilla extract until smooth.
4️⃣ Mix wet and dry: Pour the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined—do not overmix.
5️⃣ Add pecans: Fold in the chopped pecans, distributing them evenly through the batter.
6️⃣ Transfer to pan: Pour the batter into your prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
7️⃣ Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8️⃣ Cool and serve: Allow the pecan bread to cool in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
