Notes
- Ingredient Quality: Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Freshly shredded cheese and high-quality ranch dressing make a significant difference.
- Preventing Soggy Shells: Drain the cooked beef well and avoid overfilling the shells to prevent sogginess. Fill the shells just before baking.
- Freezing Tips: To freeze unbaked bites, arrange them on a baking sheet, freeze until solid, and then transfer to a freezer-safe container. Bake from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
- Serving Suggestions: Serve with additional toppings like chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, or sliced jalapeños. Pair with dips like salsa, guacamole, or sour cream for extra flavor.
- Variations: Try different meats like ground turkey or chicken, or go vegetarian with black beans and corn. Experiment with various cheeses and spices to suit your taste preferences.
